BEC was started in 2003 by Peter and Greg Bailey to fill a niche need for high quality, reliable,
usable and fully raceable recreation Gt40 replica's. The success of their initial Gt40 design has
resulted in customers asking for more. The result was the development of a P4 Replica,T70 Replica and their flagship model the 917 Replica. These models have all been designed for hard racing by true enthusiasts on race tracks around the world.

Shelby Can-AM's are now racing online due to Bailey Cars

The South African sports cars series is contested by a 1 make design Shelby Can Am.
The chassi swas designe by Carol Shelby and the body designed by Greg Bailey. For the
first time in south african racing history the car was modelled on CAD by Greg and
then shaped by CNC amilling machines. This has also opened up other avenues like using
the CAD data to race the car on an online video plateform called, Speed SIms.
Speed Sims took Gregs Cad data, and then rendered it while added all the necessary
handling characteristics of 2009 driver Champion Darryn Lobb's
data logging from his real car. The final result is a Shelby can Am's that anyone can race online
from any where in the world anytime!
